Dr Vincent Kong is a compassionate and thoughtful psychiatrist with a warm, patient-centred and evidence-based approach to care. He completed his medical degree at the University of New South Wales and undertook his psychiatry training at Prince of Wales Hospital, St Vincent’s Hospital Sydney, St George Hospital, and Byron Central Hospital. This included working with the Clinical Research Unit for Anxiety and Depression (CRUfAD), a clinical and research service focused on reducing the impact of anxiety and depressive disorders.

Dr Kong is a Conjoint Associate Lecturer at UNSW and has contributed to the teaching and support of medical students through tutorials, bedside teaching, and co-leading Balint groups. Balint groups are reflective discussion groups that help clinicians better understand the emotional aspects of patient care and strengthen doctor–patient relationships. He is also committed to providing culturally sensitive care to diverse communities.

Dr Kong welcomes referrals for a wide range of psychiatric conditions including mood disorders, anxiety, and ADHD.
